Robyn Smith attended University of Louisville's Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. She received her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, in 2008. Robyn received her Bachelor of Science degree with highest distinction in 2005 from Indiana University.

Since being admitted to the practice of law in 2008, Robyn Smith has taken on complex cases dealing with contracts, business conduct, lending, financial institutions, intellectual property, real property, real estate development, construction, civil rights, and personal injury. On behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants, Robyn has worked with the litigation team to secure favorable results – both judgments and settlements – for her clients. The value of Robyn's work to Seiller Waterman's clients surpassed a million dollars before Robyn had completed her first year of practice – and that value continues to climb.

As she believes that true service to her clients includes helping them avoid lawsuits, Robyn also provides her business clients with detailed reviews of their business forms and contracts. Robyn enjoys working with the Seiller Waterman business group to conduct periodic, comprehensive reviews and revisions of business forms. She believes that this allows her clients to incorporate the ever-changing requirements of federal, state, and local law into their business models. In focusing on those issues, Robyn intends to protect her business clients – especially the small businesses on which Kentucky depends – from legal pitfalls.

In addition to her law practice, Robyn remains active in academics, serving as an adjunct economics professor for Indiana University and a writing mentor for Central High School's Law and Government Magnet. When not in the office, Robyn devotes her time and efforts to Junior Achievement, Jefferson County Public Schools, Brandeis School of Law, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and various pro bono civil actions.

Robyn is a lifelong resident of Louisville, where she lives with her young daughter, their two cats, many bookshelves, and a perennially warm kitchen.
