Neil C. Bordy has a regional practice devoted to bankruptcy reorganization work and financial restructuring. Neil represents businesses and business owners throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky and has a large practice in Southern Indiana. Many of the cases handled by Neil have been resolved with creditors without the necessity of filing bankruptcy. However, if a resolution cannot be reached Neil is a very experienced Bankruptcy Attorney and is proficient in representing companies and individuals in Chapter 11 or Chapter 7 Bankruptcies. Neil has also represented countless farmers in Chapter 12 Bankruptcies dating back to the 80’s. In addition to his bankruptcy reorganization work and financial restructuring practice, he represents Chapter 7 Trustees in various litigation matters.
Mr. Bordy is admitted to Courts in the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Neil has authored many articles on various bankruptcy topics and has lectured at numerous regional bankruptcy seminars. Mr. Bordy is a former chairman of the Louisville Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Section. He also has a very active commercial litigation practice, representing both corporations and individuals.

Profile
Adam Buckman is an associate with the firm’s bankruptcy and financial restructuring group. Prior to joining the firm, Adam practiced family law across Kentucky. After graduating from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2011, Adam served the Public Defender’s office before moving on to work at the Administrative Office of the Courts, supporting the rollout of eCourts and juvenile justice reforms.
Adam grew up in Western Kentucky just outside of Paducah. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Kentucky in 2006, after which he spent several years working on and leading local, statewide, and national political campaigns.
Adam lives in Louisville with his wife and son. Outside of work, Adam enjoys watching and attending baseball, football, and basketball games with friends and family. Adam also volunteers with a local Cub Scouts pack and at his son’s school.

Cynthia S. Buttorff is a member of the Estate Planning Practice Group of the firm and has been in practice for over forty years. Ms. Buttorff focuses her practice primarily in the areas of estate planning, elder law, and business succession planning, charitable giving, trust and estate administration, fiduciary law issues, non-profit organizations, and estate, gift, inheritance, and fiduciary tax matters. She advises individual clients in the development and implementation of sophisticated estate and charitable gift plans, including business succession planning. She also counsels and represents individual and corporate fiduciary clients in the administration of estates and trusts, including fiduciary litigation matters. Ms. Buttorff represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service, Kentucky Department of Revenue, and Indiana Tax Department on related estate, inheritance, gift, and fiduciary income tax controversies and advises nonprofit organizations on various issues, including formation, operations, and procedures.
Ms. Buttorff has presented seminars on estate, charitable, and tax planning strategies and on trust and estate administration topics for the Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association, University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, and National Business Institute.
She is a member of Christ Church United Methodist and currently serves on its Board of Trustees as well as the Board of Beargrass - St. Matthews Historical Society. She previously served on the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law Alumni Council and on the Board of Trustees for Meredith Dunn School.

David M. Cantor is a member of the Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring Group of the firm. He concentrates his practice nearly exclusively in financial restructuring, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation matters in the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky and the Southern District of Indiana.
David is recognized as one of the region's most experienced practitioners in the areas of financial restructuring and bankruptcy. He has represented debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, and bankruptcy Trustees in virtually every chapter of bankruptcy. David has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Louisville School of Law, teaching Debtor/Creditor law and is Board Certified in both business and consumer bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification.
David has been a speaker at numerous continuing legal education seminars sponsored by the Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association, University of Kentucky, Midwest Regional Bankruptcy Seminar, and the National Business Institute. He has published various articles on bankruptcy law topics. Kyle Anne Citrynell has a national litigation and transactional practice in the areas of arts, entertainment, media, publishing, and technology, and intellectual property law. Kyle has litigated copyright, trademark, trade dress, trade secret and patent matters, and cases involving business torts and unfair competition, as well as employment and products liability. She has worked with for-profit and tax-exempt organizations from formation and as corporate counsel and in the negotiation and memorialization of a wide variety of licensing, merchandising, distribution and franchising transactions for inventors, artists, film and event producers, performers, musicians, authors, magazine, book and website publishers, software and multimedia creators and radio and television stations among others. Kyle has written and lectured extensively, both nationally and internationally, in her areas of practice concentration, including as a regular contributor to Louisville's business newspaper, Business First, and Audience magazine. Kyle was graduated from Duke University (B.A. '77; J.D. '80) and came to Louisville in 1980 to work with the Kentucky Arts Commission and Fund for the Arts to establish Professional Services to the Arts which provided legal, accounting, banking and insurance services to artists and arts groups.
- Litigated and managed over 30 simultaneous copyright infringement cases on behalf of an internationally recognized sculptor against major retailers, catalog companies and importers.

- Represented plaintiffs and defendants in products liability cases involving industrial and medical devices.
- Represented plaintiffs and defendants in technology cases involving software and website design, development and contract issues.
- Filed and prosecuted over 350 trademark applications, and represented petitioners and respondents in opposition and cancellation proceedings in the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
- Acted as domestic representative for foreign applicants and law firms on behalf of their United States trademark applications.

In representing Plaintiffs, Mr. Cohen has obtained numerous substantial, million-dollar-plus jury verdicts. Darryl W. He has represented healthcare plans and long-term disability plans in ERISA actions as well as healthcare providers before administrative boards. He has represented long-term care facilities in litigation as well as providing general counsel to small and mid-sized business organizations, both for-profit and non-profit.
During his career, Mr. Durham has served as a Medicare Part B hearing officer, provided representation before the Provider Reimbursement Review Board and served as an arbitrator in healthcare disputes.
Mr. Durham is a past president of the Louisville Bar Association, past president of the Louisville Bar Foundation, served on the Board of Governors for the Kentucky Bar Association and in various capacities in the American Bar Association. As the former senior attorney for Kentucky Fried Chicken, she gained experience in these areas. Pam is a native of Cincinnati, where she received her undergraduate degree at the University of Cincinnati, and obtained her law degree from the University of Louisville. She was admitted to the bar in 1975 and is a member of the Kentucky and Louisville Bar Associations.
Pam has negotiated commercial leases for both landlords and tenants for many shopping centers throughout the country. She has represented many national tenants for all of their leasing needs. Prior to joining the firm, Joe served for two years as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Thomas H. Fulton, Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Kentucky.

William P. Harbison practices in the firm’s Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring Group, working with debtors and creditors in and out of the federal and state courts. Bill has extensive experience litigating under the Bankruptcy Code, representing clients in claims disputes and winning precedential decisions on issues concerning the confirmation of plans of reorganization. At home in the courtroom, Bill has tried facts to courts and juries in scores of cases.
Before entering private practice, Bill served as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Clark County, Indiana, and as a law clerk to the Honorable Basil H. Lorch III of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana. A seventh-generation Hoosier, Bill lives in Jeffersonville with his wife and daughter.

Paul J. Krazeise, Jr. is a member of the firm's Bankruptcy, Financial Restructuring, and Taxation Sections. Prior to joining the firm as Of Counsel, Paul concluded a 37-year career with the Internal Revenue Service. During the last 19 years of his career with the Internal Revenue Service, Paul was a Senior Attorney with the Office of IRS Associate Area Counsel in Louisville, Kentucky, and performed a full range of legal duties associated with federal tax administration, including the litigation of tax disputes in the United States Tax Court.
While with the IRS Associate Area Counsel Office, Paul also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Offices of the United States Attorneys for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. In this capacity, Paul directly represented the Internal Revenue Service in bankruptcy cases filed in both United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky; much of this significant and frequent representation consisted of pursuing and defending claims filed by the Internal Revenue Service in Chapter 13 cases and individual and business Chapter 11 cases.
“For an approximate 16-year period concluding in 2013, Paul served as an adjunct instructor within the W. Fielding Rubel School of Business at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. In this capacity, Paul taught numerous and various classes within the university’s undergraduate accounting and business administration curricula as well as its graduate business (“MBA”) and Masters in Taxation programs. During this period, Paul was twice honored as the university’s “Part-Time Teacher of the Year” as voted by students and served, also, on the university’s Student Judiciary Committee, a rotating panel of faculty members and other university officials which conducted hearings and issued findings relating to student disciplinary matters."

Michael E. Lannon is a member of the estate planning group of our firm and has over twenty-five years of tax, estate planning, business formation, and business operations experience. He represents publicly-held companies, closely-held companies, banking institutions, partnerships, limited liability companies, and other business entities in the process of formation, private offerings, ongoing operations, restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions. D. Ryan McCray is an associate with the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Ryan concentrates his practice in the areas of intellectual property, real estate, and sports law.
He and colleague Becca Saksefski are leading Seiller Waterman’s Sports Law Practice Group providing individual, entity, and team guidance on issues and in disputes affecting athletes and athletics. Ryan and Becca are coauthors of “Athletes Need a Coach (Attorney) to Compete in the NIL Landscape,” an article published by Legal Netlink Alliance (LNA), an international association of lawyers. Ryan is also a credited contributor to “Fundamental of Copyright Law in the Data Era- Enforcing Copyrights,” which was presented at Practicing Law Institute in 2022 and 2023.
Ryan was graduated, cum laude, from University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in May 2023. While in law school, he focused on litigation and intellectual property. Ryan competed in the Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Moot Court Competition and won the CALI Award of Excellence in Trial Practice. Ryan started as a Law Clerk at Seiller Waterman during law school and quickly gained experience in intellectual property, litigation, and real property matters.
Ryan received his Bachelor of Arts in History in 2014 from Earlham College (Richmond, Indiana) where he played collegiate football and baseball. Ryan received his Master of Arts of in Teaching from Earlham College in 2015. This career path led to six years as a middle and high school social studies teacher and baseball coach in both Lexington and Louisville before beginning law school in 2020. Ryan was born and raised in Lexington, KY, and is an alumnus of Henry Clay High School.
Though new to the practice of law, Ryan has already had broad exposure to litigation, and transactions relating to intellectual property, real estate, and sports law. Notable litigation experience includes copyright and trademark infringement, Trademark Trials and Appeals Board proceedings, disputes pertaining to the sale of real property, employment, and contracts, as well as collections, and criminal defense. Notable transactional experience includes copyright and trademark applications, intellectual property assignment and licensing agreements, waivers, releases, user terms and conditions contracts, artist commission agreements, and endorsements.
When not at the office, Ryan enjoys sports, horses, and bourbon, and even more, spending time with his beautiful wife and daughter.

Rebecca Saksefski is an associate with the firm’s litigation practice group. Her other interests include corporate and business law, intellectual property and sports law.
A native of Louisville, Becca received both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Louisville. Before attending law school, Becca worked for over four years in the banking industry. While in law school, she focused on the transactional side of the law, worked as a Student Attorney in the Entrepreneurship Clinic, and ultimately earned the Certificate of Distinction in Transactional Skills. She also served as president of the Louisville Student Section of the Federalist Society and was the founder and president of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society. As a student-athlete at Louisville, Becca often found herself on the Dean’s List and the Athletic Director’s List while competing for the university's softball team.
When Becca’s not at the office, you will often find her on the volleyball courts or enjoying a baseball game at the ballpark.

Lynn Watson focuses her practice on all aspects of civil litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of matters deriving from personal injury, employment practices, and business disputes. Lynn is vested with a valuable and unique perspective, having actively engaged in a regional insurance defense practice for a number of years before joining Seiller Waterman LLC's litigation team.
