Williiam S. Yates

William S. Yates is an associate attorney in both the firm's Litigation and Intellectual Property Practice Groups.
He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, in May 2025 from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, where he served as a member of the University of Louisville Law Review. During law school, he worked as a law clerk with the firm, gaining valuable experience in complex litigation matters.
Prior to law school, William graduated from Centre College in 2021, where he majored in Economics and Finance with a minor in Political Science. William was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, and is a graduate of Trinity High School.
Although new to the practice, William has experience handling disputes involving trademark law, defamation, contract disputes, and a range of other matters.
